Question: A man’s age is 150% of what it was 10 years ago, but 75% of what it will be after 10 years. What is his present age?

Detailed solution: First Method: A man's age at present is 150% of what it was 10 years ago, so the increase in his age with respect to the age, 10 years ago, is 50%; that is equivalent to 10 years. So, 150% is equivalent to 30 years,which is his present age.

Second Method: The man's age is 75% of what it will be after 10 years. That is, his present age is 25% less than the age, after 10 years. So, 25% is equivalent to 10 years, so 75% is equivalent to 30 years, which is the present age.
