Basic Calculation:18

Detailed Explanation: Multiplication of two numbers having the base 1000 and the numbers are more than 1000.

Rule is that the one of the numbers is how much above the base, which is added to the other number.

For example, in the multiplication of 1002 × 1005, 1002 is 2 more than 1000, so 2 is added to the other number 1005; so that it becomes 1002+5 = 1007 and we read it as 1007 thousand. Then, we see that the two numbers are how much above the base 1000. We multiply them and add. So, the answer is 1007 thousand and 10 = 1007,010. Ans.

Similarly, in the product of 1003 × 1009; 1003 and 1009 are above the bases by 3 and 9 respectively, so either 3 is added to 1009 or 9 is added to 1003, it becomes 1012. And, 3×9 = 27. So, the answer is 1012,027.

Basic Calculation:18

Multiplication of two numbers having base 1000

1004 × 1001 = [(1004+1) ×1000 + (4×1)] = 1005,004
1003 × 1002 = [(1003+2) ×1000 + (3×2)] = 1005,006
1005 × 1001 = [(1005+1) ×1000 + (5×1)] = 1006,005
1009 × 1004 = [(1009+4) ×1000 + (9×4)] = 1013,036
1011 × 1003 = [(1011+3) ×1000 + (11×3)] = 1014,033
1014 × 1006 = [(1014+6) ×1000 + (14×6)] = 1020,084
1016 × 1005 = [(1016+5) ×1000 + (16×5)] = 1021,080
1018 × 1002 = [(1018+2) ×1000 + (18×2)] = 1020,036
1019 × 1007 = [(1019+7) ×1000 + (19×7)] = 1026,133
1016 × 1012 = [(1016+12) ×1000 + (16×12)] = 1028,192
